I have just been for my six month annual check up at my dentist in Glasgow, something which I don’t really enjoy, and never have to be fair, however my dentist always seems pleased to see me, probably because there are a lot of people who don’t visit their dentist unless they really have to. I do pay for private dental care as I struggled to find a NHS one which won’t be a surprise to many and this is probably a reason why many people don’t go. However I do find that I get value for money as part of my six month check up I also get a clean and polish by a dental hygienist which leaves my teeth lovely and clean, well until i have a coffee!

I have always visited my dentist in Glasgow regularly, my parents always drummed into me the importance of oral hygiene, as my dad says “your teeth have to last you till you die” however as I get older I become more aware of what you need to keep an eye out for. Gum disease for example can be very serious if left untreated can lead to some very serious problems such as heart disease, infections and loss of bone mass which is more frightening than visiting my dentist. I also like my teeth to look good as it’s a confidence boost to be able to smile without the worry of someone been disgusted by the state of my teeth! So I must keep up with all the useful cleaning techniques and hopefully my dentist will still be impressed in another six month’s!

I was recently in a local bar / club and all the staff had “I Luv Trick’s” written on their t shirts which was in a really bright day glow colour and it really stood out. The Club sell’s the t shirts for around £25 each which is loads compared to the cost of getting some t shirt printing organised, but they are so cool i’ve had to buy one.

I only tend to laze around home in the t shirt, as it’s a bit geeky to wear out or even to Trick’s like some do ha ha.

Its starting to get daft at the club though, since more and more people have these t shirts you don’t know who’s staff and who’s general public, although later in the night its clear since a few are slightly more tipsy.

As with many utility suppliers it’s always good to make sure you get the best deal, for example I always shop around for the cheapest gas and electricity suppliers to make sure it doesn’t cost me too much, many offer great offers for new customers and the same now goes for phone and broadband UK providers. Before you used to get the best deal if you were a long serving customer however now it seems it’s no longer viable to stick the same one as you tend to miss out on the best deals.

There are a lot of providers out there offering some really good deals such as Sky, Virgin Media, BT and TalkTalk however it is important that I make sure I get the right deal for what I use, I don’t often use my land line for calls unless they are local, usually to my parents as I prefer to use my mobile phone. However I do use my internet a lot and download a lot of films and music as well as watch quite a bit of TV through the internet too so I need to make sure I am not restricted by any download limits. There are a lot of deals out there that do offer unlimited downloads however they are covered by a fair usage policy which is designed keep downloading at a level that doesn’t affect other users so if you are a high bandwidth user you may find some services restricted however most people do not use that much bandwidth a month.

An easy way for me to find the best deals for what I need is to use a comparison website, just like when I am looking for other products such as insurance it’s an easy way to see all the best deals in one place so I don’t get confused. Comparing broadband also means you get to see the entire deals companies offer all at once making it easy to look through and find the best deals, so I should be able to find something to suit me and also save myself some money.

I am going to my good friends wedding at the weekend, the dress and shoes are bought and so is a matching handbag all I need to do is figure out what I am going to do with my hair, it’s quite long and so I thought instead of leaving it down and curling it with my ghd hair straighteners like I normally do I would attempt styling an up do as seen on red carpets sported by very glamorous celebs.

I am looking for something fairly simple but a bit more than just a bun, it also needs to be easy to do as I am not the most co ordinate and do not want to spend the best part of the morning before the wedding faffing around with my hair. The main thing I need to do with my hair is make sure it has plenty of volume using volumising mouse and big curlers, as I don’t want a tight to my scalp style.

I have decided to go for a side chignon which is fairly easy for me to do, by teasing my hair back and pulling into a low ponytail near the nape of my neck, which I then split in half taking both halves I need to gently tease them to give them some body and with one I smooth out with a brush and twist under and secure with a large bobby pin and then repeat with the other. All I need to do now is finish the look with some ghd ultimate hairspray and a flower into my chignon.

Hopefully this will work on the day!

I mentioned a few months back one of my friends had joined an online dating website, I hadn’t heard much from her for a while, so I presumed not all is going well on the dating front. If it was and she had found someone, I would have known about it! So when we went out for a drink and a catch up I got to find out all about her dating ‘disasters’ she had, had so far, and some of them were not fun!

After setting up her profile on the dating website www.parship.co.uk where she honestly wrote about herself and put on a pretty decent picture of herself she waited with baited breath for the offers to flood in, they didn’t. Many people presume that as soon as you post yourself online you will get lots and lots of offers and plenty of suitable matches, however sometimes as in real life it can still take time to find the right person.

Now after she had, had a couple of requests she then had to decide which she would take further and get to know them before maybe finally meeting, there were a couple of guys not too far away, however after many emails between them the time came to meet in person. Now she told me that people are much different when they are sat at the computer screen than they are in real life and so far the dates she had been on were less than successful. But she is not disheartened and is still carrying on with online dating and her search for Mr Right!

My aunt and uncle are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks and they are having a massive party for the whole family, which will be a nice get together, the only problem is I am not sure what to get them as a gift. I don’t get to see them that often as they do not live that close to me so it’s hard to judge what they would want or need, but a friend of mine suggested flower gifts Glasgow, which after looking into them, is more than just a bouquet of flowers.

You can get anything from gorgeous house plants in beautiful pots to bay trees or fruit trees for the garden, I do know my aunt has green fingers and loves gardening as well as having plants in her home, last time I was at their house their garden was lovely. I quite like the topiary bay trees, they look great on a patio, and also bay leaves are also useful for cooking so it’s like two gifts in one. One thing i was concerned about though was getting them up there however flower gifts Glasgow deliver so I can arrange to have delivered in time for their party so everyone can admire them when they arrive, which saves me a lot of hassle and will be a nice surprise for them.

I will be going on my summer holiday in a month so its time I got organised with my clothing essentials, it’s a beach holiday so I will be taking my summer clothes and bikinis etc which I already have however my holiday beauty products is where I am lacking. Us women have a lot more to think about when taking products on holiday, more than men, not only do you have to remember the most importantly sunscreen and after sun but also a whole host of other things that are needed to keep us looking our best while we are away.

Obviously while at home I have my beauty regime however, all the creams and lotions I use can’t really be taken with me otherwise my suitcase will be full of them, instead I have to look for products that are small lightweight and multipurpose.

Face wipes are always handy, they are great for cleaning off make-up and unclogging my pores that are full of lotion they are also great for freshening up my face, a night cream is also a must, after a day in the sun, my face will be drying up so over night will get back some much needed moisture. My hair also needs protecting, as it too can be damaged by the harmful UV rays that damage our skin and because it’s dyed darker than my natural colour I do not want the colour to fade too much either. For during the day you can now buy UV protecting products such as Kerastase Soleil 2010 range that protects the hair safely against the effects of sun exposure and re-hydrates thirsty summer hair. As well as that a good conditioning treatment whilst I am away will also replenish any lost moisture from my hair and to make sure the colour doesn’t get too damaged I will be wearing a hat as much as possible, my straw trilby should do the trick.

One last thing I must remember before I go is also to book myself in for a manicure and pedicure to make sure my hands and feet look good too!

With the success of many Forex traders and investors, many online marketers and ebook salesmen have begun to offer their “secrets” regarding foreign exchange trading. These authors rarely base their findings on solid evidence or history, and instead opt to stack alleged testimonials in their favour. While this information may have a bit of truth to it, there are much better ways to learn Forex trading and understand the foreign exchange market for free.

Even the smallest investors and traders can enter the foreign exchange market successfully. So long as these investors understand that the market is controlled by sweeping opinion and speculation, they can quickly develop a strategy to earn consistent returns along the way. Global news information and popular statistics relevant to the global currency market are the most important indicators of the near future and potential volatility in the market, and should be consulted first when trying to learn Forex trading.

With so many sources of information relevant to the global currency market and Forex account management, it can be difficult to select the best ones. While not all sources can be trusted, it’s always best to select information based on the provider’s personal desires. Those who wish success for an investor in the marketplace such as their current broker, or any Forex broker interested in winning the investor’s business, should be consulted. Learning Forex trading and strategy is a long path, and a well qualified broker is an excellent place to begin the learning process.

Yup, you guessed right, I’ve spent the whole of my life unable to drive – I onced signed up for a driving lesson in my teens, but I hated the instructor and never went back. After that I just didn’t bother.

I have had my ghd hair straighteners for a good few years now, probably a lot longer than most but I am now thinking of buying a new pair as I am not convinced they are as good as they used to be. Now although I am a fan of ghd’s I thought I should have a look at what else is out there.

Babyliss has their new Pro Radiance which is supposedly very quick to heat up and comes in a matching pink bag which also acts as a heat mat but the only thing is it looks a lot more bulky than my ghd’s.

Mark Hill offers Smooth and Shine Ceramic Style which is dubbed as your own personal stylist, but I reckon that is a bit of an overstatement! The back body and fuchsia pink magnetic plates did catch my eye and a bit cheaper than ghd’s may be a contender.

Nutriheat is not a brand I have really heard of but apparently the Nutriheat straighteners are all about tackling the damage caused to your hair by straightening it. They contain a heat activated formula that releases shine inducing silk proteins while straightening. However they are much more bulky which I don’t really want a even though my hair could do with protecting.

Although I am a bit drawn to the Mark Hill stylers I still think I will probably stick with ghd after all I haven’t had any problems with my current ones and if the new ones last just as long I don’t mind the hefty price tag.
